Learning SDG Goals by “Walk through the Park” Activity

Learning SDG goal by “Walk through the Park” on Friday 17 March 2023 starting from 13.00 to 16.00” with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wattasit Siriwong (Chair of Public Health Science Program), he led students of master's and doctoral programs in public health and public health sciences traveling from the College of Public Health Sciences via the BTS public mass transportation system from Siam BTS Station to Mo Chit BTS Skytrain Station. In this field study, Dr. Siriwong was teaching his students in this trip using “Discovery Method” at Vajirabenjatas Public Park and the Center for Environmental Studies and Conservation (Environmental Education and Conservation Center, EECC). He blended 3 courses of 2 programs i.e., Program in Environmental and Occupational Health and Program in Innovative Health Sciences and Wellness. The learning objective of this activity in each blended class was focused on different perspective i.e., 1) to learn about the health relationship and coexistence of man and nature for course 5300538 Introduction to Environmental Health, 2) for course 5300541 Human Health Risk

Assessment, it was to determine the occupational health hazard and evaluate occupational risk for the BTS workers and construction workers in new green zone). As well as it was completed the objective of the course 5300777 Health and Fitness that was 3) to learn about activities and active performance of people in the sense of wellness in the park including physical fit, mental fit and lifestyle fit. On this occasion, Dr. Siriwong provided opportunities for students from other public health disciplines to participate in this activity and learn the concept of sufficiency economy and the royal initiative project on water resources management of His Majesty King Rama 9 and Her Majesty Queen Sirikit’s project called “The Rak Nam Forest Project” which is the royal aspiration to restore moisture to the land. Particularly, the highlight of this activity “Walk through the Park”, the students have exchanged their point of view and learn new knowledge from each other and plus the volunteer activity to promote social responsibility and sustainability through waste collection throughout the journey (approx. 5 kilometers walk) as our CPHS commitment to the society.

การเรียนรู้การพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนด้านสุขภาพผ่านกิจกรรมเส้นทางเดิน

เมื่อวันศุกร์ที่ 17 มีนาคม พ.ศ. 2566 เวลา 13.00 – 16.00 น. โดย รศ. ดร. วัฒน์สิทธิ์ ศิริวงศ์ ประธานหลักสูตรวิทยาศาสตร์สาธารณสุข นำนิสิตหลักสูตรมหาบัณฑิตและดุษฎีบัณฑิต สาขาสาธารณสุขศาสตร์และวิทยาศาสตร์สาธารณสุข เดินทางจากวิทยาลัยวิทยาศาสตร์สาธารณสุขโดยใช้ระบบเส้นทางขนส่งสาธารณะบีทีเอสจากสถานีรถไฟฟ้าสยามไปยังรถไฟฟ้าหมอชิต เพื่อทัศนศึกษาดูงานและการเรียนรู้แบบค้นพบ (Discovery Method) ณ สวนวชิรเบญจทัศ (Wachirabenchathat Public Park) และ ศูนย์การศึกษาและอนุรักษ์สิ่งแวดล้อม (Environmental Education and Conservation Center, EECC) ซึ่งเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของสาขาวิชาอนามัยสิ่งแวดล้อมและอาชีวอนามัย รายวิชาการประเมินผลกระทบสุขภาพมนุษย์ (5300541) Human Health Risk Assessment) และ อนามัยสิ่งแวดล้อมและอาชีวอนามัยเบื้องต้น (5300538) เพื่อเรียนรู้ความสัมพันธ์เชิงสุขภาพและการอยู่ร่วมกันของมนุษย์และธรรมชาติ การจัดการพื้นที่สีเขียวและคุณภาพชีวิตประชาชนในสังคมเมือง การประเมินผลกระทบสุขภาพตลอดเส้นทางรถไฟฟ้าที่มีต่อประชาชนและพนักงานของระบบขนส่งมวลชน (ราง) และ คนงานก่อสร้างของพื้นที่ปรับปรุงสวนสาธารณะใหม่แนวคิดเมืองล้อมป่า 360 องศา ร่วมกับนิสิตสาขาวิทยนวตกรรมสุขภาพของรายวิชาสุขภาพและสมรรถภาพ (5300777) เพื่อเรียนรู้กิจกรรมและสมรรถภาพของประชาชนในมิติสมรรถภาพร่างกาย จิตใจ และ ไลฟ์สไตล์ รวมทั้งเปิดโอกาสให้นิสิตสาขาวิชาอื่นๆ เข้ามร่วมกิจกรรมครั้งนี้ เพื่อเรียนรู้แนวคิดเศรษกิจพอเพียงและโครงการพระราชดำริการจัดการทรัพยากรน้ำเรื่องการจัดการทรัพยากรน้ำของพระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวรัชกาลที่ 9 และ สมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ พระบรมราชชนนีพันปีหลวงโครงการป่ารักน้ำ ซึ่งเป็นพระราชปณิธานคืนความชุ่มชื้นสู่ผืนดิน และ ในการทัศนศึกษาดูงานในครั้งนี้ นิสิตได้ แลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้ และถ่ายทอดประสบการณ์ผ่านมุมมองต่างๆ ร่วมกัน รวมทั้งกิจกรรมที่สำคัญอีกกิจกรรม คือ กิจกรรมจิตอาสาของอาจารย์และนิสิต ส่งเสริมความรับผิดชอบต่อสังคมผ่านการเก็บขยะตลอดเส้นทางการดูงานรวม 5 กิโลเมตรโดยประมาณ
