July 12, 2016, Professor Dr. Sathirakorn Pongpanich, the Dean of the College of Public Health Sciences (CPHS), along with Assistant Professor Dr.Chitlada Areesantichai, Assistant Professor Dr.Usaneya Perngparn, and Visiting Professor Dr. Linda B. Cottler from the University of Florida, USA, met with Chulalongkorn University President Professor Dr. Bundhit Eua-arporn to discuss community engagement opportunities. Specifically they discussed the UF HealthStreet model where community health workers connect with community members, assess their needs and concerns, and refer them to medical and social services and opportunities to participate in research. Initiating such a model, with CPHS as host College, would strengthen the vision of the President to augment collaborations across the University, to communicate bi-directionally with the community and sustain relationships with the community.
