On July 22, 2025, Chulalongkorn University held its "𝐂𝐡𝐮𝐥𝐚 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲" event, providing free public health check-ups focused on physical, mental, work, and financial well-being. The event marked both International Self-Care Day and the 8th anniversary of the "Chula HealthStreet" community health initiative.
The event was organized and led by the College of Public Health Sciences, under the leadership of its dean, Prof. Chitlada Areesantichai, with collaboration from approximately 20 other faculties within the university. University President, Prof. Dr. Wilert Puriwat, stated that the initiative reflects Chula's commitment to caring for the people in its communities, viewing it as a starting point for sustainable community development. The "Chula HealthStreet" program is recognized as Thailand's first urban community health innovation and has already served over 8,200 people.
On 21st February, 2025, Associate Prof. Dr. Pramon Viwattanakulvanid, our CPHS faculty member, Chulalongkorn University was invited by APRU (the Association of Pacific Rim Universities---network of leading universities linking the Americas, Asia, and Australia) to give a lecture on the topic of 𝐄𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 (𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬). There were more than 200 students joining this mini certificate workshop. On February 18, 2025, Asst. Prof. Anuchit Phanumartwiwath (Assistant Dean), Assoc. Prof. Kraiwuth Kallawicha, and Dr. Narumol Bhummaphan warmly welcomed Assoc. Prof. Brijesh Rathi from Hansraj College, University of Delhi, India, and Asst. Prof. Priyamvada Singh from Miranda House, University of Delhi, India, as part of the ASEAN-India Collaborative Research Project.
During the visit, Assoc. Prof. Brijesh Rathi delivered a special lecture to the faculty members and students on the topic, "Heterocyclic Molecules Effective Against Multiple Parasitic Infections." His presentation highlighted groundbreaking research on the development of novel antimalarial drugs, offering valuable insights into innovative therapeutic strategies.
